"FSBOs on Steroids" Seminar: Using the Internet to Sell your own Home

The Internet is exploding with real estate related information and millions of home buyers, yet few people selling their own home know how to maximize the web's money-saving potential. This step-by-step introductory FSBO (for sale by owner) course will show potential home sellers -- or those with properties already on the market -- which web sites to use to market their homes online and how to save thousands of dollars. Sellers will learn how to use the Internet to:

1.  Identify competing properties for sale,

2.  Identify recent sales prices;

3.  Monitor price trends in their neighborhood and community;

4.  Establish an asking price,

5.  Find a lender to prepackage a mortgage for their property,

6.  List their home on a variety of free and low cost sites,

7.  Host a virtual open house,

8.  Reach potential buyers,

9.  Put their home into the MLS at a discount price, and

10.  Evaluate potential listing agents.

The Internet will empower real estate consumers to save an estimated $30 billion of dollars annually, or an average of $6,000 per transaction according to the Wall Street Journal. This course will show you how save two to four times that much in the Greater Boston area. No computer experience is required.
