Got a favorite love song? Post the song's name or some lyrics in the comments section below, and we consider adding it to our Valentines' Day party play list for Sunday night. Whether or not we play the song, you can write the lyrics on your heart and wear them on your sleeve at the party.
You can also if your favorite love song ranked in Rolling Stone Magazine's "500 Greatest Songs" of all time.
Here's one of the love songs people have wore to the party in the past:
All you need is love, love is all you need.
The Beatles

Like Eric Fromm's classic, _The Art of Loving_, past quotes have gone beyond romantic love to all aspects of human love, including self love as reflected in the lyrics below from George Benson:
"Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all...
And if by chance that special place you been dreaming of, leads you to a lonely place, find your strength in love."

One of my dearest friends met her sweetheart at a dance this summer featuring the Love Dogs. Their new CD, "Love Dogs: Live and On Fire" will be featured 10:30pm Sunday night on WBOS 92.9. FM. You can download some clips online at:

If you don't know their sound, here's some spin off their web site:
Based out of Boston, this hard blowing septet just celebrated its tenth year wowing audiences and critics alike with their combination of great musicianship and pure fun. The Dogs combine elements of jump blues, New Orleans R&B and early rock 'n' roll into their own powerhouse sound.
For years the Love Dogs' friends and fans have been asking the band to record a live cd, and "Live And On Fire" is the answer to those requests. Far from a live retread of previously recorded tunes, "Live And On Fire" features ten brand new tracks captured live on a summer weekend at the famous Sea Note nightclub on the outskirts of Boston.
BW comment: Yes, the Sea Note is one of my favorite places to dance, but I met one of the loves of my life -- a decade long relationnship that has now been transformed into a friendship that includes her new husband and daughter -- via the Boston Swing Dance Network. Their Valentine's Day dance tonight features the Love Dogs and Cupid will surely be there again:
Sat 2/12

This one is not so well known, but worth the listen...Closer by Damien Rice. Another less well known favorite of mine is Grazed Knees by the Snow Patrol. Download them for some sappy valentine's day fun!
